All skydivers who have full face helmets know that they fit very snug. That's what makes them so comfortable and popular with jumpers. In order to take one off, it must be pulled forward and rolled off your head. And dont' forget the squeeze buckle. It is this very snug fit that all but eliminates the option of a full cutaway system as seen on many open face camera helmets. When a pilot chute bridle or main lines from a deployment bag snag a camera mount, a jumper burns precious altitude trying to either un-snag the pilot chute or remove the helmet while in free fall. With the exponential increase in the popularity of action cameras, we want to do everything we can to make this sport safer. With our patent pending system, the camera mount can be released from the helmet with a single pull of the cutaway handle in less than 1 second while the jumpers' helmet remains on their head.
SNAG RESISTANT DESIGN
Designs are intended to be snag resistant to avoid entanglements as much as possible in the first place.
Mounts are tested for easy and quick release even under heavy pilot chute loads of over 100 pounds.
Advanced production processes are used to give a high quality finish without the high cost of traditional injection molding.
Mounts are tested for structural integrity. They will withstand over 200 lbs tensile stresses and over 400 lbs shear stresses.
Mounts can be released with a single pull in less than one second.
Currently using 3D scanning capabilities to quickly bring mounts to the market for other helmet models.
